The Men’s European Water Polo Champions League Final Four of 2013 brings us to Belgrade, and to Serbia. The most important continental club Water Polo competition’s climax will be reached in one of the world’s top Water Polo nations.
The Final Four is always an occasion of celebration that offers Water Polo admirers the highest level of play and these final four matches of the competition will surely deliver all the excitement we expect from the four best teams in Europe this season.
Newcomers CNA Barceloneta of Spain, old-timers and ever-present Jug Dubrovnik of Croatia, and the two local teams Crvena Zvezda and Partizan of Serbia will give it all to be crowned European Club Champion of 2012-2013. Partizan Belgrade, by the way, was the first Champion of this competition back in 1964 and they will try to win their seventh title in front of a home crowd after having won the sixth almost forty years ago.
On behalf of LEN, I wish to thank the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, and Events & Travel for their hard work. We are grateful to the Serbian Water Polo Federation for the always fruitful collaboration. And we thank the City of Belgrade and its people for welcoming us and sharing in the pleasure of the best water polo that they know so well.
Best wishes to the participating clubs and to the spectators and supporters who follow them.
Enjoy these two magnificent days of Water Polo.
